One in seven American adults has a physical disability that affects their mobility. Yet many event hosts rarely consider the question "how should this affect my event?" That's understandable if they've never had trouble navigating physical obstacles. However things as seemingly simple as gravel pathways, curbs and stairs could mean a guest will travel a long way to get to an event they can't attend. Developing the habit of considering common accessibility needs is vital to ensure that everyone's' experience at the event is a positive one.

During her presentation, Kelsey Butler Harrison will delve into the ways of identifying potential obstacles and ways of overcoming them before they become an issue and encourage you to discover ways to elevate all guests' experiences by making it more accessible for everyone. This presentation is perfect for event planners and designers, venue owners and any vendors looking to increase their level of customer service to clients with limited mobility.
